Just an odd observation: Do you ever watch Star Trek TNG? My favorite TNG episodes are The Measure of A Man & The Offspring - both about Data & his rights as a "person" & as a "parent". Somehow, both seem pertinent to all of these discussions. Strange that Gene Roddenbury & writers recognized the importance of both rights back then. Linda
