Joe Bo.... If being closed to opposing views marks a cult, then ARN is 
the leader of the pack.  In any event, your advice to "be restful" 
strikes me as sound, though Satchel Paige did recommend "jangle gently 
as you walk because it keeps the juices flowing."

Art is good for this list.

He keeps us up on the latest thinking of the testocrats and NCLB lovers.
He helps us hone our position.
Once in a while he says something useful for our side.

Never close yourself off to opposing views. This is how cults are 
formed.
I don't read all posts on this network but have been actively hooked up 
to
it for the past several years.

Thank you for what you do in combating this mad world of "one size fits

I'm glad it's spring in Chigago.  I'm looking out my window at a murky
dawn, with a new coating of snow over everything; about half an inch.

While I rarely post, I've been reading ARN for years now, and used my
filter quite effectively for that purpose a few years back.  It sure
makes the conversation more productive.
