Re: More On "Nation at Risk" 25th Anniversary
ANAR unquestionably oversimplified the relationship between economic
prosperity and the quality of public education. However, ANAR never
claimed that our schools are failures, pointed out in detail areas in
which American education has been enormously successful, and cautioned
that Americans seem to expect that the schools can compensate for
weaknesses in other institutions.
Debunkers of ANAR need debunking themselves.
