It's official- the new Texas test will be impossible to 'teach to.'
Key words, paragraph counting, formulae for writing, ditto programs- none of
these will 'work' on the TAKS. Teachers 'better not get caught' using any of
the TAAS materials we spent tens of thousands of dollars on in the last
couple of years. Just teach the TEKS and all will be fiiiine. (I think I
heard this before, regarding TAAS, but apparently they Really Mean It this
time.)

I should be delighted, but something smells rotten in Denton...

Anyone want to start a pool on the date the first TAKS prep program is
published?
