Liberalism can mean a variety of things, as can conservatism. Uwe Porkson
developed the notion of "plastic words," which Ivan Illich appropriated into the
idea of "amoeba words." If they can't mean anything, they don't mean
anything. Too bad we can't go back and undo the damage. I'll have to start
footnoting an apology for being forced into prevailing categories.

I suppose the fact that "our entire political vocabulary has been rendered
nonsensical" explains why you interjected the Holocaust into a discussion of
reading and math tests in the public schools. You really didn't have a
choice, you were just forced into it by the prevailing categories.
