My principal showed this at the first faculty meeting, and asked us to
respond to it, what does it tell us, what are the implications. We discussed
in small group first and my group talked about how we think it means we have
to discover what it means to be human, what it means to have a meaningful
life, that in our work, we need to develop critical thinking skills,
emotional intelligence and social conscience so that we have a chance at
living meaningful lives, rather than being pawns, with no control over our
fates and destinies. You should have seen her face! She did not see that
coming.
