Juanita, I don't know which one you are one, but one "separation of
school and state" group has no problem making schools wholly subordinate
to corporate planning/interests, as I read them.

Mike, the issue has been included in litigation, as in Texas, as part of
the validity issue, and federal courts have not bought it, thus far. Too
bad, indeed. In essence, courts give a lot of deference to the state,
and if the state says this is a reasonable (indeed, "necessary") way to
determine who is good enough, then the plaintiffs have to show in what
amounts to a real uphill battle that it is not necessary or even
reasonable -- and courts have been reluctant to overrule the states.
