A new page has been added to the website of the California Teachers
Association. From the CTA home page <www.cta.org> click on "Testing--Get
the Facts." There are links to a fact sheet and ten newspaper articles.
There are also titles for seven articles from the California Educator,
CTA's magazine, but no live links for those articles. (I've written to ask
them to provide links.)

I am here to organize. I am here to be political. I am here to be a citizen
in a pluralist democracy. I am here to be effective, to have agency, to
make a claim on power, to spread it around, to rearrange it, to democratize
it, to legislate it into justice.
Tony Kushner, the 2002 commencement address at Vassar College
