Those may have been the demographic figures at the time Murphy came in, but its
way behind. Let me give you the current figures, as currently listed on the
school system web page (it is a PDF file you would have to download for system
statistics):

African American 77.2
White American 11.5
Hispanic 7.5
Asian/Pac Islnder 3.3
Nat Amverican 0.5
