Every list has lurkers who serve as time wasters. Art's one of those on this 
list. As new people come here, we periodically have to warn people from 
wasting time on the guy. Like so many crazies who work the Web, his job is to waste 
your time to keep you from doing other things. 

It was nice talking with everyone from Oakland when I was there in August 
putting my son Dan up at Berkeley. From what I heard, you all have more than 
enough to do in Oaklan and the Bay area without having to waste even a nanosecond 
on a guy like Art Burke. He's been here in the crazy cage for about five years 
now, and about once every six months some of us post the new warning for 
people who are new to this forum on the struggle.

I recently called him out because his nonsense trailed into another member's 
posting, and I noticed he was referring to Martin Luther King Jr. as "Martin." 
Given the word that Dr. King did here in Chicago, in Memphis, and elsewhere 
during the last two years of his life, I was certain (also, because I had 
actually worked in those struggles decades ago here in Chicago) that there was no 
way Dr. King would have mouthed those Manhattan Institute and Education Trust 
spewings -- or Art Burke's -- let alone allowed some vapid racist to refer to 
him as "Martin."
