Yeah, I know British schools are as bad, but, when comes to TV, it's the thought that counts!

Unfortunately, British schools are about as test crazed/damaged as US
schools, according to many reports. The two nations are among the worst on
the planet - and both score very low on international rankings of child well
being (if we believe such rankings).?

The level of opposition to the testing now appears to be at a higher level
than in the US. Wales opted out, very prominent political figures have
denounced the testing, backed by serious reports. The unions keep battling,
tho I've seen no indication of efforts to renew the effort to pull off a
boycott. Still, from news clips, the level of resistance does seem higher in
the US - tho it is getting higher here. NCLB may prove to have been the key
moment of over-reaching - as George Miller said, it is a despised brand.?
