In CA, too many teachers are beginners and untenured. Even the one old
guy in Salinas, who last year tried to refuse to sign the loyalty oath
(promising not to reveal contents), was threatened with revokation of
his credential. This year, however, his union has promised to defend him.
In Berkeley, a whole school is going to transfuse its blood money into
something constructive--maybe CalCARE!
