The SAT is one factor in college admissions, almost never a sole factor;
some 300 colleges do not require an admissions test for entrance for all
or some applicants. GRE is not universally required nor a "sink or swim"
exam. And none of the examples compares in social importance to simply
being able to obtain a high school diploma. Monty Neill
