The WASL WAR is heating up. There are almost daily articles and Letters to the Editors about WASL which is only two months away (4-23/5-11). Did I understand the TAAS is next week? WOW ... good luck in TX this last week before testing. Jean, I wish I could say the TAAS WAR is on...but it seems only a small handful say or do anything about it...amongst teachers there is a solemnity and a few express disgust..but no battles here yet...and yes TAAS is here next week Parents quietly seethe but seem resigned..helpless You resisters in Washington are inspiring our small band here. Texans have got to get organized to fight this back before it becomes an even bigger monster in the next few years If asked to assist with testing again this year, I would have opted out. No one asked. They knew. And my own kids have already suffered through.
