Have the claims and teachings of Socrates, Buddha, Jesus, Aquinas, Freud,
Jefferson, et al been validated by independent research? How about the
claims of the Bush administration where some of this validation by
independent research is irrelevant. Objectivity is always at the service of
motivation, subjectivity, philosophical leanings, and psychological habits.
At best, it is a struggle with the limitations of time and experience, not
to mention apt methodologies and the angle of perception. Too often the
quagmire of validation by independent research ironically paralyzes
objectivity because in the hands of some it is only meant to validate their
subjectivity. Not seldom does this ultimately unscientific wolf in sheeps
clothing, the mythos of objectivity, pretend to have taken a bite out of the
verifiably measureable world when the fact is it has been simply chewing its
cud. Then, we enter the vicious circle of independent research being
validated by independent research and so on ad infinitum. In addition, it
is often the case that this thud-like mantra of seeming interest in
objectivity gushes forth from those possessed by bias and/or personally
relative subjective assumptions hiding cat like and repressed. Some of the
greatest scientific minds have spoken of this phenomenon at great length.
