Like it or not, we have a nasty group of people going to Washington D.C.
to make policy for us and our children. It's very possible that
high-stakes testing will become a hot topic for conversation in line at
the grocery store and other places Americans go. So a handy list of
quick one-line replies to remarks such as "if they want to get out of
high school they should be able to pass this test" will be very handy.
I'll need a bunch of 'em for the Latino conference. Here's my
contribution to this list, please help us out and add to it when you
have time.;-) Don't ask me why I like the medical analogies so much...

You wouldn't amputate a child's leg because of a skinned knee, so why
would you screw up his life and retain him based on the results of one
test???
