I've seen him live very briefly late last year (I do not recall the
occasion--some conference, I believe). Paige speaks in slogans and
catch-phrases. I suspect that he might be inarticulate off the cuff,
just like many of the people he is about to associate himself with. I've
noticed that when Abigail Thernstrom, among others, makes a prepared
presentation, she sounds like an academic. Yet, when she comments during
a meeting or responds to questions, she sounds illiterate. Several of
her ideological colleagues suffer from the same disease.
