<Huge Smile>
I'm reading........very very slowly but i'm catching up!!!!

Trying to figure out how to get to BOSTON by 4....... and make about 1000 of those little buttons before I leave. just can't happen. so i have to sit here and figure out how to get allen's suggestion of putting the Preamble onto a button...

You realize that your brilliant "No Child Left Untested" button is a collector's item? Jordan Riak's, "When Reason Slumbers Monsters Dance" is a close runner up.

I LOVE my "No Child Left Untested" bookbag. I will treasure it.

Can't wait to attend our school board meeting the 15th wearing the "Read My Lips No More TAKS" shirt you made me. and you're thanking me for the few tiny buttons i was able to make with YOUR dazzling "PUBLIC SCHOOLS ACADEMIC FREEOM slogan on them <sorry if i wasn't supposed to reveal that hehhehehe... too late - i've sent some to Austin already too> ???? you're more than welcome.....

you do so much for all of us.....THANK YOU, Juanita.......for everything.

Carol's LIPS match her jacket. She looks marvelous standing on her Soapbox and has become quite a public speaker.

I purchased Alfie Kohn's book, "The Schools our Children Deserve" yesterday. I started reading it out loud to my 10 year old son, whom I've had to pull out of public school. We hadn't even finished reading the forward before my son asked me to please go online today to see if Alfie has a website that might list schools that use his vision and see if there might be one around here.

Big Sigh,
Margaret

All,
I went to our A+ commission meeting today, where the bleeding points of the new legislation were being presented by Shirley McCune (education liaison to the education government in the education state-- or whatever)

Did anyone else realize that the feds are going to be requiring teacher assistants, i.e. para-professionals, those moms with a heart who usually work at the school their children attend (when the district hasn't shuffled them due to levy failure), to have an associate's degree? Two years of college to work for $8.25 an hour? The gods must be crazy!!!!

But one of the idiotsincrocies of the bill.

I'm with you on the gagging and falling on the dog, Carol, only we ain't got no dog.

Margaret, if you're reading, I love my little buttons! Thank you, thank you. If you're not reading, I'll write you off-list later.

Art, are you going to Spokane for the conference the 22nd and 23rd?

I think I'm going to write our governor and ask him just how much WASL has cost so far. Clueless I'll bet ;-)
