Dear ARN listers,

I am writing to let you know that we have filed the initiative requiring
Washington State politicians to take the WASL (per the press release
posted yesterday), but the state still has to do a number of official
steps before we can send petitions out and start gathering press or
signatures.  So, for those of you who have responded, thanks for the
support but it's a bit premature to take next steps.  We want to generate
publicity and more support, but really need to wait until we've been
issued an official initiative number and title.  You can be sure we will
let you know when that moment happens.

Thanks for your support and understanding.  We want to carry out this
action in the best way possible and will be taking those next steps in the
next couple of weeks.
