Hi!

My daughter is attending an alternative modified free public school that
specializes in experiential learning. When this school was chartered 30
years ago, part of the agreement (in writing) was that committees within the
school would be responsible for choosing the type of assessment, etc. A
number of years ago, prior to our arrival as a family, the district forced
the school to start having the students take the standardized tests. Now the
district is mandating that report cards be issued. This is clearly a
slippery slope we are headed down. Any words of wisdom to share with me?

Thanks,
Anne
