I think I can explain what the 'removed' message might have been. I was
talking with Larry Rudner, who has managed the list at its previous home,
about how to preclude confusion that could be caused by two working
version of the list co-existing. One way to handle that situation is to
subscribe the new list address (arn-l@interversity.org) to the old list,
and remove all the other subscribers. That way, messages posted to the old
list will get send to this list, but folks won't get two copies of those
messages.

Larry said he'd do that, and if he did that may be why you got a message
saying you'd been removed--but from the old list, I'm guessing.

I've done a number of similar list migrations over the years. There's
always a wee bit of confusion/awkwardness during the transition, but
things usually smooth out pretty fast and everyone just gets into the
habit of using new addresses, etc. without much trouble.

However--if anyone does run into trouble of any kind or has questions
about the new setup, please don't hesitate to gimme a holler. I'll be
happy to help out.
