Folks: I have added a few pages to the HOPE, NY site (HoPE = Higher Potential Education: Concerned
New York State Parents and Educators opposed to high-stakes testing (HST)).
Especially important is the link to the American Evaluation Association's position statement on HST.
Not only does it reflect the evaluation community's interest and professional perspective on these
corrupted accountability protocols passing in the name of achievement and diagnostic programs (in
*Swiss Army Knife* razzle-dazzle, all-in-one psychometric boondoggles), but it is heavily laden with
a resource repository of its own.
There are many quite fine resources on developing and maintaining *constructivist curricula* and
utilizing qualitative inquiry in education (whole schools, whole laguage, etc.); but two versions of
my own bookmark file in HTML for browsing according to Prometheus, as well ;-}
Newly included on the Context and Resource Repository for High-Stakes Testing (HST) and Standards
Based Education (SBE) page are several stimulating discussions and narratives concerning this latest
assault upon the American Curriculum in the name of *accountability and evaluation*.
I hope you find this resource useful... ;-} rap.
