$55 million . . . Wow! I work with many schools (as many of you also do)
where teachers have to be very careful about the amount of paper they use and
have to fill out request forms (with justification) for a transparency.
They have to teach in hallways and closets, in extreme heat or cold . . . and
still they go on and do amazingly beautiful and wonderful things with and for
their (OUR) children. There are so many other stories that are much more
painful, but we know what they are. The big question is why should anyone
have to work under such conditions with so much money available? ($55
million!!). It sounds naive, I know, but it is only recently that I have
learned about all the corporate connections in education. I was too busy
teaching. Now I am in a position to share this information with teachers,
parents, etc. Thank you for the information-
