Thanks!   I would love some buttons! ( I have one that SUsan Ohanian gave me 
at our state conference, and won't part with it).   I'll have to figure out 
how to give you my info.   
 I'm making plans for my daughter to skip our Spring standardized State 
assessment (ISAT-Illinois) and would love to get others to join in.   The 
buttons might really help.   I was further inspired by a comment by one 
listserv member who said she rode around all week with a homemade sign on the 
back of her car protesting the state test,   I loved it!!   I will do the 
same!   I don't need to wait for anyone else.
I also wanted to let you all know that I have shared a couple of chapters of 
Alfie Kohn's book, Education, Inc. with the teachers in the class I teach on 
Wed, nights.   They were happy to know about the corporate connections and 
that they should trust their professional judgment, and not take everything 
the Fed. Dept. of Ed. or the state, or their district mandates as TRUTH!   
They were grateful for the information/knowledge.   Thanks to all of you for 
the recommendation!
