Joe, The best NY organizer is Jane Hirschman. She and Jeanne Heifitz put together a march on Albany in May of 2001 that numbered several thousand. Jane is also mentioned in the press release calling for the commissioner's resignation. Monty and I posted those stories on Jan 13th.
