Joe

We moved to Westville, IN just about 1 1/2 years ago. We moved from the neighboring city Michigan City. I'm concerned about both cities school systems (I have family in MC schools). I haven't researched Westville yet. Michigan City recently had their test scores posted in the newspaper and not one school was above the state average. So everyone started jumping on the teachers that they didn't care. The paper did have a couple of teachers write in to defend themselves. But, it all made me start to wonder what we would have to deal with once we started kindergarten. Lots of changes have happened since I was in school (even since college). I appreciate your help.

I will not confuse you with a definitive answer.

Someone on the list will help you, I am sure.

It is a difficult question to answer.

Each area is a little different.

I must know your state, city or district type.

Are you a parent who is all college bound or are you interested in
trades?

What do they (the twins) show so far as to books and/or hands-on
interests?

What are your options where you now live?

One can not answer a broad question such as you pose without knowing a
lot
more of the details.

If it is the tests that you wish to avoid any school might do.

If it is the type and quality of academic instruction you are seeking,
then
I suggest you research

each available school in your area and then make a comparison chart.

All schools are bound by NCLB, and their state mandates in an effort to
comply with NCLB requirements.

Also, you will not understand it all at once. There are so many ifs,
ands
and buts involved.

You are wise to seek understanding before the twins are of school age.

Joe Bo
