Newspapers sell for less than it costs to produce them so it's no
wonder that the Washington Post Company, just as the New York Times
Company, has expanded into other ventures. Still, I suppose we should
all stay tuned for another chapter in the continuing Bracey saga of how
the interests of test publishers are driving American public education.

Curious fact of the day:
Katherine Weymouth, the relatively new publisher of the Washington
Post, just
said on NPR's On the Media, that Kaplan now accounts for over 50% of
the Post Co
revenue and is "growing rapidly."
