A great book on this topic is Achievement Testing in the Early Grades: The
Games Grown-Ups Play, edited by Constance Kamii and published by the NAEYC.
The essays are easy to read and, because they are written from a variety of
perspectives (teacher, researcher, stae department consultant, principal,
etc.), particularly useful.
