Hello All, The progressive forces are on the rise. Last night the students of Oakland and their supporters--made up of many teachers, community activists, parents, et al--convinced our school board to REJECT Jerry Brown's military charter school. YAY!!! I am so happy, especially since one the speakers was a disabled student of mine and another is the son of a woman who works with my students twice a week. It was a beautiful moment and the speeches were divine.
