I made up a new term for what we do here on ARN--we "test-defy" for fair
testing!

I thought it was cute--so I wanted to share!!

I spent yesterday shaking hands at the Carson Valley Days celebration in
Minden. Most of the people were concerned about "overtesting" our
kids. As I have stated before, the Douglas County School District has
added local tests, called ALTs, to the already long list of state
mandated tests. The public, here mostly conservative working people,
are grumbling.

They said TO ME: "The teachers are just teaching to the test!!"

I said, "Yup, because they are forced to."

They heartily agreed and said how disgusted they are.
