<< So let's have some discussion. Is the politically correct NCTM "all
students
must learn calculus and it must be integrated into K-6, we must not deny
opportunity
to students of color" the right way or is the "world class" standard that we
give a
test that determines who will excell at math and science and who will fix air
conditioners? Maybe the US should give up and go back to tracking system like
Europe, or at least make it voluntary." >>
Discussion about what? Discussion is predicated on reasonable people
discussing reasonable issues? How about a discussion of how offended so many
of us are every time we have to read another of your racist inferences about
how students of color should be content with "fixing air-conditioners"
because they are incapable of advanced mathematics and higher order thinking?

Power concedes nothing without a demand.
It never has, and it never will.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress.
Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet deprecate agitation are men who
want crops without plowing the ground. They want rain without thunder and
lightening. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its waters.
