Question 1 needs some refining. I don't think there is anytime when Venus is closer to the Sun than Mercury. Question 2 looks like a question that appeared on the New York Regents exam maybe two years ago. Someone at FairTest probably recalls better than I. It was shown in the NYTimes, but the Times archives don't usually include graphics or photos. Jerry
