I was browsing thru some of the TIMSS math released-items. I'd have don't a lot worse than the US kids who actually took the test. There's a lot in there on algebra and geometry which I didn't hit until 9th and 10th grade, respectively. Has anyone tracked the changes over time? NCTM? Anyone else played with these items? I also at one point put up some material from my freshman college math text and asked people to place it in the curriculum. Junior or senior year, folks said.
