Check out this interview between Senator John Huppenthal, who is running for State Superintendent of Public Instruction, and whose website touts him as one of the state's
"leading authorities" on public education. After agreeing that career and vocational ed training is critical, Huppenthal struggles to respond to his vote to cut $550 million from the program, then tries to say it can survive on the $57,000 allocated. Embarrassed, he gets up and walks out...
Another glaring example of legislators who don't read proposed legislation and wind up screwing education as a result...so flipping typical.
