This offer is intriguing indeed. I was just wondering whether I am alone in
the thought that there might be a similarity between offering suggestions to
"improve" the Texas assessment tests as there is to offering suggestions to
"improve" capital punishment in Texas by using sharper needles for lethal
injections. With both "improvements," we end up with death. One is the death
of a human being at the hands of the state. The other is the death of the
democratic spirit of education at the hands of state. No, I'll pass on the
suggestions to "improve" either, and I think I'll stick with the campaign to
abolish both once and for all.
