I received this today from a teacher friend in Madrid. We are really in a world wide struggle. Madeleine Ballard Yesterday we had a field trip to the mountains and were walking for six hours and 15 miles. It was wonderful, we had lunch in a small restaurant in the forest. We were 120 students and six teachers. Today all the students are on strike to protest for the money our government derives to private schools instead of protecting the public system.
