George

maybe you should reread your own post, and also Nancy Creech's response to it.
You began by saying Bush was ELECTED

that is the arguable part of the statement. Since, in what even some
Conservative legal schlars are saying is one of the worst reasoned decisions in
Supreme Court history anointed him president by cutting short the poltiical
processes that are set up to deal with it, there is no doub that he is
presdient - none of us have siad otherwise, but there is some question about
whether he was in fact elected, in the normal usage of the word.

Oh, but I forgot - shades of itnerpretation is a qualitative characteristic,
not something that easily grasped by those who only measure.

But then answer Madelbrot's question, how long is the coast of England? And
cannot we say with heisenberg that there mere attempt to measure by its very
action in some way distorts that we measure (Yeah, I know I'm interpolating a
bit...).

Having beaten this well past where it deserves to be, I will sureender and let
you have the alst word if you so desire.

Have a nice night. Oh, I can't say that, since "nice" is a qualitative
description!
