Decided to brace myself and skim through Whittle's _Crash Course_ while browsing at the local book store. If you have the stomach for it, take a look at his sci-fi-esque vision of the future (relayed straight-faced) of public education. All schools are run -- all of them -- by educational management organizations. Whether or not you buy this version of the future is irrelevant. What is relevant is that Whittle heads up Edison, Inc., and pitches this vision to investors and potential investors. And they buy it.
