Justice, Not Just Tests
A Youth-Led Evening To Celebrate Alternatives to High-Stakes Tests
Friday, April 4th . 6 - 8:30pm
Vanguard High School (in the Julia Richman Complex)
317 East 67th St, NYC
Join students and educators from around the country for a special evening to
share and discuss alternatives to high-stakes, standardized testing that can
be used in the math classroom.
Teachers and groups of students are strongly encouraged to attend.
5:30 - 6:00

6:00 - 6:45

Attend four, 20-minute workshops facilitated by young people from around the
country (NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Oakland). At the workshops, guests
will have an opportunity to participate in an engaging math activity with a
social justice theme, and to speak with the students and teachers about
their experiences with these projects and assessments.
