Subject: New CEP Policy Brief on High School Exit Exams
Last week, the Center on Education Policy released a policy brief that highlights two patterns in state high school exit exam pass rates. CEP found that (1) states with higher percentages of white students passing exit exams also tend to report higher pass rates for students of color; and (2) states with higher overall pass rates tend to report smaller achievement gaps between subgroups. The policy brief, "State High School Exit Exams: Patterns in Gaps in Pass Rates," is posted on the CEP homepage (www.cep-dc.org) as the first item under "What's New."
