Bill & Jerry:
A higher order thinking skill would be to oppose the test...the next step
after recognizing that the answer to life is not on the test!!! It would,
however, put the student in conflict with the teacher administering the test,
the parent pushing the test, the principal of the school enforcing the test,
the school superintendent cheerleading higher scores, and the politician
showing up for a photo opp touting accountability.
Seems it no longer takes a village to educate a child...Seems we have turned
the hierarchy upside down inside out, and it now takes one very
clear-thinking child to educate an idiotic system bent on self-destruction!
