This article looks like about the level of an adult newspaper, USA
Today, if not the NY Times. Getting the right answer takes a fair
amount of searching the text and thought. That's fine for weeding
out applicants to Harvard, but it is entirely inappropriate for
setting a high school graduation level where we're complaining about
the mythical "Honors Graduates who can't read their diplomas"

Well, I completed a 10th grade sample reading section -- an article
about aligators and scored 8 out of 8. I thought it was EASY ...
something at an 8th grade level perhaps.

Did I hear correctly that the students have to get 40% correct in
order to pass?
