Every SAT still includes an experimental section. That means every test-taker pays for the privilege of being a "guinea pig" for College Board/ETS research.

Good point. When I worked for The Princeton Review back in 1987-88, we told the kids that if they came to a section on the SAT that was absolutely wacky, then it was probably the experimental section included by ETS in some of the tests. Of course, most kids had no idea that they were volunteering their time to act as unpaid guinea pig/lab rats for ETS. They thought they were taking the SAT.

Does anyone know if the SAT still contains an experimental section for field-testing new items?
