Judi,
The term hypertext in the subject line caught my attention here. Hypertext
is my thing. Big time. I suspect you want to turn off the html codes in
your e-mail messages. You need to go into the guts of your e-mail program
and simply turn those codes off. I don't use express so I'm not sure where
you would look but it can't be too deep into the program.
Hypertext codes are part of the second half of your post. It's all that
gobbledygook that appears after your message. Hypertext itself is the
language that drives the world wide web. It connects one document to
another, so that when you click on a link in a world wide web page, and you
go to a different page, you have activated a hypertext link. It is very
cool stuff and is having a dramatic effect on our notions of reading and
writing. And ultimately it will have an effect on assessment. But that's a
different discussion.
