Well, I mean, um, I didn't really mean to "flame" it, but was just saying we
should be particularly careful about generalizing youth and inexperience.
Maybe I'm just more sensitive about the subject, having 4 older sisters and 2
older brothers. And maybe it's because I didn't read the whole article
(shame on me) and maybe it's because I got a great email from a 7th grader
yesterday, who seems to have grasped all the evils of high stakes testing in
a simple statement about his mom saying that there is no use to WASL and it
just makes slower kids feel dumb.
