Re: . . .election for 2000 . . .
I am disturbed that it would be this complicated to elect a president in
this enlightened and technological age. For my part, I would rather elect a
bad president fairly then a good one unfairly; I too, feel the pain of a
tainted election.
But, but, but, but- I wish to move on now and close ranks to do what has to
be done to bring some of our industry home to provide jobs for those who are
not of the academically elite and provide for the defense of our nation and
ALL her people. If Jack Welch and his ilk could just take a few million
fewer and spread it around to the poorest of the labor pool, I might be more
sold on the corporate structure as it now exists.
I don't trust either major party.
Man's individual and collective greed will destroy our nation from within.
We have seen plenty of this in the past year.
More serious is the systematic destruction of many youngsters in school due
to the sick elitists who run our public schools.
The Department of Education is unconstitutional and few have questioned its
legitimacy; let alone its cabinet level status. We are all stuck on the
stupidity of the tests for the idiotic NCLB and we should be questioning the
legitimacy of the organization which produced this farce.
One issue of President Bush's presidency of which we could all agree to hate
is the most silly NCLB.
TOO MANY ARE BEING LEFT BEHIND BY THE TESTOCRATS LUNACY AND BELIEF THAT ALL
CHILDREN ARE GINGERBREAD BOYS AND GIRLS STAMPED OUT OF THE COOKIE CUTTER.
OUR STATE (NY) LEADS THE WAY WITH THIS SIMPLISTIC APPROACH TO RAISING THE
STANDARDS.
Standards, yes. Hi-stakes testing nonsense, no.
Fight on and "illegitimus non carborundum (est)".
Joe Bo
