Art makes the troubling assertion that educators’ adoption of triage
practices proves that “we need better people in public education,
not that there are problems with NCLB.” ...

Someone described schools ignoring children in greatest need and focusing on
children close to proficiency in order (in their view) to game the AYP
requirements.. When public school employees act blatantly against the best
interests of parents and children, that is not "triage" -- that is behavior that is
irrresponsible and unprofessional and directly against the letter and spirit
of NCLB. Offering the kinds of phony analogies and word-games the way you
did is an insult to parents and children and to public education.
