What about states like VA which do not allow teachers to unionize and in
which, therefore, NEA affiliates seem never to take nor encourage such actions for
fear teachers will be fired?
(At least, that's the response some of us have always gotten in response to
questions/suggestions involving resistance to mandates to teach crappy
standards and give crappy,high-stakes tests).
