Just to clarify, when I wrote about the admin "sitting on his can", I was joking! You know--a tongue-in-cheek response to Art's comments about Mr. Wasserman. As for the value in reading people's responses to Art's posts, I admit there's some value in that (depending on the reply). There is also value in personally crafting a response to Art's posts because it allows us to transfer emotions into a persuasive argument. However, when his one-note replies (civil rights leaders support NCLB! Really!) take the form of bashing the teachers and reformers on the listserve and take our focus and energy away from the work at hand (as his posts consistently do) I vote to draw the line.
