Monty: Could I with all due immodesty suggest that you look at Rescuing the Public Schools: What It Will Take to Leave No Child Behind? What we are now apparently calling the CR approach is spelled out in some detail there along with the organizational changes in school systems that would be necessary for such an approach to work. My proposals in that book are based in no small measure on the Boston Pilot schools and on my own experiences eariler in Boston in creating the city's first three magnet schools. Utopian as all this may sound, I think both Debbie (quoted at length in the book) and I tthink the idea has considerable merit.
